Last weekend I volunteered to photograph a dog wash, and it was SO much fun! The event was put on by members of the St. Paul Off-Leash Recreation Areas Advisory Committee. This committee is advising and guiding the Parks & Rec organizations on getting more off-leash dog parks in St. Paul. {There is currently one park} They want to help educate the public about off-leash areas, show the benefits to both dog and non-dog owners, and promote a sense of community.
There are two new parks on the way right now, and the primary reason for holdup is lack of funds for fencing. I live in St. Paul, and would LOVE to see more park options, so I was happy to help out this great cause!

Besides the dog wash, there was a temporary off-leash play area and agility and fly-ball courses set up
The Aussies weren’t the only ones getting in on the fun
And, of course, just tons of beautiful dogs out enjoying the day!
This Pit Bull was hanging out at my friend, Jen’s, booth. She runs MN Bully Lovers and will be hosting an event on October 25th for National Pit Bull Awareness Day. I’m going to be one of the sponsors, so look for more info on that to come….
