midnight + friends

Today’s Pet Haven black foster was Midnight, who just had ACL surgery on his back leg. He’s 90 pounds of snuggly love, and he’ll be ready for adoption in a few weeks.

Midnight is being fostered in a fantastic home with 3 more lovey dogs and 2 cats!

Today’s black foster is Komo, a beautiful young lab mix (possibly pit bull?) He’s a nice small size and super cute and friendly! Notice him rocking the ‘puppy dog eyes’ in this first one…..

It’s the St. Paul Winter Carnival right now, and Dustin and I went downtown to check out the ice sculptures this year. Seriously, I don’t know HOW these people do it…..pretty cool. (Get it? *cool*?)

Today’s Pet Haven black dog foster was Dakota. She made sure to check out every inch of my place she could get to, and helped herself to Gracie’s toys! She was super cute and we got some great photos!

february is black dog + cat month

I’ve been volunteering with Pet Haven for a while, and am excited to help them create awareness about “black dog syndrome” and hopefully get some of these wonderful creatures adopted. Pet Haven is partnering with Start Seeing Black Dogs and working super hard to show people just how beautiful black dogs (and cats!) are.
