For the second year, I headed up to my hometown of Park Rapids, and did a day of mini-sessions with my good friends at Dog Spaw. We got some great photos, and made a donation to the Headwaters Animal Shelter. Here’s handful of my favs… I’ve never really wanted a Poodle (nothing against Poodles, they’re just not for me) but man, do they photograph well!

This guy above would also make a good gorilla….

Little Elle was pretty nervous in the studio, so we took her out for a location session as well. It was like she was a totally different dog…. she was having SO much fun outside at the park, running around, fetching sticks, I got tons of big smiles. (I don’t think there were any smiles in the studio)

Keep in mind, if your dog is nervous in new places, or doesn’t like being photographed, most times we can get fabulous pictures out of the studio, either at your home or on location!

Elle May was making friends left and right!

She earned some good pets….

And totally loves her mom and dad.

Elle May won a free session with me in a silent auction at a fundraiser for Pet Project Rescue. Pet Project Rescue was started in response to the needs of street dogs on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Today, they still rescue from Mexico, but also take in local dogs and cats in need of homes. I was super excited that Elle May got the session, because she was one of the very first puppies to be rescued from Mexico through Pet Project! You can see her puppy pictures and read a little bit about her here. She can be a pretty timid girl, but has come a long way in her new forever home, and definitely has a wonderful life ahead of her.

She’s so small and pretty, she deserved some soft color processing
